Guam - Dr. Nerissa Bretania Underwood has confirmed with KUAM News that she took part in a pre-proposal conference call with vendors on Thursday. The participants in the call included several companies who are interested in submitting a proposal for the third-party fiduciary agent services and focused on certain items that must be answered by the vendor, including just how much money in federal funds need to be managed as well as the Department of Education's overall expectations of the proposal.

In order to help vendors better craft a proposal that will meet the needs of DOE, Dr. Underwood says this call gave all parties an opportunity to solidify the needs and wants of both parties. There is no word yet on when a vendor will be hired.

Details of the conference call are on the Guam Department of Education's web site.
