Guam - Trial has been scheduled for June 27 involving the civil suit between Watts Constructors and the Port Authority of Guam. The company is taking the local agency to court because it imposed more than $1,000,000 in charges for sending cargo through the Guam Shipyard instead of the Port. The agency has moved to have the case dismissed.
Port Board Chairperson Monte Mesa, "One of the things that we are looking forward to which is a little bit earlier than the scheduled court date for all the discoveries to be made, but we filed a dismissal on their claim and we're hoping that we would prevail on this."
The judge is taking the matter under advisement.
