Guam - A 32-year-old Chuukese man was arrested this week for allegedly beating and cutting another man with a machete. Justin Naich of Mangilao was placed behind bars on charges of attempted murder, assault, aggravated assault and terrorizing.

Guam Police Department Spokesperson John Edwards says Naich got into an altercation with another man outside the Emwrichem Fish Mart in Dededo last Saturday, adding, "The individual struck the victim a couple of times with his fist and actually kicked him and then displayed a machete and then hit twice in the right arm. "

Edwards could not say the extent of the victim's injuries.  In the meantime, Naich was booked and confined.
