Guam - A scheduling conference has been scheduled for April 14 before District Court of Guam Magistrate Judge Joaquin Manibusan in a case field by Watts Constructors against the Port Authority of Guam. The company is challenging more than a million dollars in charges imposed by the agency after it sent military cargo through the Guam Shipyard instead of the Port.
The agency contends the suit should be dismissed because watts failed to exhaust available administrative remedies such as arbitration. Next month's scheduling conference will be held in the judge's chambers.
