Guam - The Department of Education is finally making orders to purchase testing material for SAT-10 testing. While DOE said it was going to make the orders last month, Deputy Superintendent of Finance and Administrative Services Taling Taitano says they finally got the purchase orders out Friday.
She adds they're processing advance payment to vendor Pearson in hopes to have the materials arrive before testing occurs next month. She said, "One of the findings that has been reported on an annual basis is the issue of sole-source procurement. And so we needed to document that the test was only available through one vendor. I believe Pearson is the only vendor and we just needed to document the fact."
