Guam - The Civil Service Commission denied former police officer Troy Morrison's motion to dismiss the adverse action that was taken against him after he was arrested on family violence, assault, and terrorizing charges. Morrison was terminated following his arrest and argued that the action should be dismissed as he alleged GPD management failed to act within the 60 days required.
The CSC, however, denied his motion and will proceed with a hearing on the merits of the case. The commission board will sign the decision during a meeting this week and then set a hearing for the merits.
Morrison is awaiting trial for allegedly threatening to kill and assaulting a woman known to him.
