Guam - Officials with the Joint Guam Program Office met with Senator Tina Rose Muna-Barnes Thursday morning to discuss environmental concerns in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. JGPO Director Colonel John Jackson says the meeting was similar to his discussion with USEPA officials regarding the document.
He adds that they continue to have meetings on the comments submitted on the DEIS, telling KUAM News, "The next step is we have some tiger team meetings scheduled in Honolulu next week to start answering those comments, and so what we do is we take those individual comments, some you may have 15 or 20 that are basically covering the same subject, and so we'll combine the response to those comments."
Jackson adds that they will work on every comment to prepare them for the final EIS.
