Guam - Senator Ben Pangelinan introduced a measure that would reprogram and appropriate funds for various programs and projects and other purposes for Fiscal Year 2010. Bill 317 intends to ensure Government of Guam services moves forward such as overdue repairs at village sports facilities along with compensating cost of living allowance class retirees.

"So this bill will recoup those payments have the autonomous agencies reimburse the General Fund, and we would use that money then to pay some of the interest that is due to the retirees," said the senator.

The measure additionally appropriates $4.6 million from the Territorial Education Facilities Fund to the Department of Education for capitol improvement projects reimbursements, textbooks, and maintenance and warehouse vehicles.
