Soka Gakkai Intl. honored by officials

Guam - Governor Felix Camacho signed a proclamation this morning proclaiming January 2010 International World Peace Month and the 26th of the month World Peace Day.  Soka Gakkai International boasts more than 15 million members worldwide, representatives of the organization joined the governor and Speaker Judi Won Pat for the signing. 

Soka Gakkai International in Guam strives to create awareness about United Nation issues such as environmental causes and the exploitation of children.  "I encourage every resident of Guam to support the worldwide movement to achieving peace on earth," said Camacho.  "Furthermore, I commend and congratulate President Daisaku Ikeda and his wife Kaneko Ikeda and Soka Kaggai International for their far ranging and humanistic efforts to promote world peace and human rights."
