Rector mounts defense on YouTube

Guam - Although Senator Matt Rector refuses to speak to island media he posted two videos on you tube regarding the controversy. Rector said, "I don't even know what any of their claims are - they're ridiculous.  They run the same darn story over and over that says nothing they got a couple of loudmouths running their gums.  About what? I'm not even sure."

Rector failed to disclose his 1983 burglary conviction on his affidavit to run for public office, and when he applied for a concealed firearms permit. After KUAM news aired, Rector on Facebook said he forgot about the conviction. Rector on YouTube said, "I'm proud of doing what I've done, I am proud of who I am, I'm proud of my past, I've got nothing to hide."
