Shriner's reps returning to Guam

Guam - A medical team from the Shriner's Hospital in Hawaii will be on island next week.  The team will provide free consultations for children with special healthcare needs under the age of 18.

The Guam Department of Public Health will be hosting the clinic held in the main facility in Mangilao.  Program Coordinator Arlean Kloppenburg told KUAM News, "We start clinic at Public Health from January 12 through the 15th. That's a Tuedsay to Friday and we continue to next week on Tuedsay. They will be coming here and doing free consultative services for various orthopedic conditions even burns are inclusive here and deformities."

Shriners offer various services beyond orthopedic needs. If they find a child deemed necessary for surgical intervention they can send them to Hawaii for care. For more information call 735-7117.
