Guam - Obviously, being the first American baby of the new decade is very rewarding, and in no small way due to the prizes that the newborn is given!  Since 2005, local businesses and everyday citizens have contributed valuable goodies to the family of the first baby to greet us on January 1 as the "I Love Guam New Year Baby" campaign.

This year's prize package to Baby Jezariah Anjalique Fausto, valued at more than $5,000, include $1,000 savings bonds, meal coupons, Avon products, gasoline and massage treatments.  Guam's Toyota dealership also gave a car seat, which goes along nicely with the law now in effect requiring seatbelts and car seats.
