Guam - MCV CableCares held its first annual "Letters to Santa" event today at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Tumon. Gifts were given at today's luncheon with Santa in attendance. The event also featured a number of activities for the kids to include face painting, jumpers and a 'Call Grandma Station', where kids were allowed to make off-island phone calls to family members for free.

MCV Marketing Manager Leilani Bonarrigo said, "The way we identified these children is that we contacted the mayor's offices as well as the Salvation Army to contact families who have fallen a little bit on hard times and maybe needed a special day to cheer them up. So we selected these children and invited them out with their family. So each one of the selected children who are 3 to 9 years old will receive a gift from Santa."

The children were also videotaped reading their letters to Santa. MCV will be airing the event during a special programming on Local 2.
