Guthertz crafts bold statement on buildup

Guam - Never one to hold back how she feels, chairperson of the Legislative Committee on the Guam Military Buildup Senator Judi Guthertz (D) has introduced a strongly-worded resolution.  The measure effectively puts the federal government on notice that the Legislature and the people of Guam are vehemently opposed to any use by the Department of Defense to use eminent domain or condemnation to acquire Guam land for the military buildup.

Resolution 258 also provides a brief history on the military's taking of lands in the past and the slow or unsuccessful compensation.
