Guam - The Guam Community College is scheduled to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Allied Health Building later this month. According to GCC President Mary Okada, the facility was made possible with the help of the Governor's Office, and the Department of the Interior. Additional funds from FEMA reimbursements, from the GCC Foundation and the board of trustees were also used to construct the new facility.
"It provides us with the additional facilities that we need to support allied health and so that's very important because facilities will continue to be a challenge until we get more facilities for the campus and it will continue to be a challenge. This is going to be one of the first opportunities for us to expand the college and so we're really looking forward to that,"
The ceremony is scheduled for December 21.
