DOE still working on Southern High

by Michele Catahay

The Department of Education has been working to fix the issues at Southern High School. According to Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Bretania Underwood, facilities and maintenance workers have been able to fix a leak at the boy's locker room, which has been spewing water for over a month.

In addition, over 20 classrooms were without working air conditioning units.

Bretania Underwood says those problems were addressed last week. For the past several months, the Santa Rita campus has had to suffer from these issues on top of finding ways to get rid of its mold problems on campus.
