Freakshow Body Boarding Challenge results

After a week's delay, Guahan Napu Inc., the local non-profit association of surfers and body boarders, in partnership with Monster Energy Drink, held the 2009 inaugural Freakshow Body Boarding Challenge Sat., Oct. 31, at the Hagatna boat basin.

The contest results are as follows:

Men's open division, ages 30 and above

1st place, Joeito Santiago
2nd place, B.J. Rolinski
3rd place, Earl Navarro
4th place, Carlo Dela Cruz

Young guns division ages 18 to 29

1st place, John Leon Guerrero
2nd place, Carl DelaCruz
3rd place, Coy Flores
4th place, John Barber

Men's drop knee division, ages 18 and above

1st place, John Leon Guerrero
2nd place, Marion Mendiola
3rd place, Kawika Naholowaa
4th place, Joe Santos

Women's open division ages 18 and above.

1st place, Theresa Taimanglo
2nd place, Yuko Concepcion
3rd place, Brittney Bello
4th place, Roby Naholowaa

Monster Energy Drink was the prime sponsor. The 2009 Freakshow Body Boarding challenge is also co-sponsored by GTA TeleGuam, DNA Evolution and Fokai Industries.
