Calvo's Insurance 5k will be fun for all

by Dave Delgado

The Calvo's Insurance Trick or Treat Costumes 5k Run/Walk takes place this Saturday at Skinners Plaza. AM Insurance will be donating $500 to the school with the most participants at the run.

Donna Muna Quinata told KUAM News, "AM Insurance is real happy to be part of this 5k run again this year. We are always looking for ways to donate back to the community. I know AM Insurance has done baseball teams, basketball teams, volleyball teams and softball teams from different communities. More importantly we are finding different ways to be creative and this time we would like to donate $500 to the school with the most participants.

"I think it's going to be fun to get everybody out early in the morning and get out there and put on your running shoes, grab the strollers and costumes and everybody come out and have a good time."

And Pinky Lujan said, "Please come out, we're appealing to all the schools especially the running fields and track and field teams to come out and come in costume. Every one of all ages, we will have a costume competitions with prizes. There will be a raffle and lots of activities for the children."

The Calvo's Insurance 5k has a showtime of 5am with go-time set for 6am. Make sure to come dressed in your costume for a chance to win some prizes, so get down to hornet sports and register now!
