Police: dead body found at motel is stabbing suspect

Police have confirmed that a lifeless body found at the Golden Motel on Sunday afternoon is in fact that of a wanted person. McIntee Sharep Joshua was wanted in connection with last Friday's stabbing at Ritidian Mart in Yigo.

Joshua was accused of getting into a dispute with a woman he knew who worked at the establishment.  Police said he became angry and repeatedly stabbed the woman behind the counter.

Guam Police Department Spokesperson Officer Allan Guzman could only say that police have positively identified the body discovered on Sunday as that of Joshua.  Medical Examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola will conduct an autopsy at 2 this afternoon to determine the exact cause of death.

The woman, 25, who received multiple stab wounds on Friday night remains in serious but stable condition at the Guam Memorial Hospital.
