Police believe man found dead in Tamuning motel is stabbing suspect

Posted: Updated:

Police are waiting on family members to positively identify a body that was found lifeless in a Tamuning motel this afternoon. Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer Allan Guzman says the man's body was found around 1 in the afternoon and officials believe he is the individual who is wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred at Ritidian Mart in Yigo on Friday night.

A 25-year-old woman remains in serious condition at the Guam Memorial Hospital after receiving multiple stab wounds. Police were looking for McIntee Sharep Joshua, who was believed to be responsible for stabbing the woman.

Officials have not said how the man, who was found in the motel, died but an autopsy will likely be conducted on Monday to determine the exact cause of death. No other information has been provided by police.
