Untalan Middle School Teacher Accused of Making Sexual Comments to Students

Posted: Updated:

An Untalan Middle School teacher has been removed from the classroom as an investigation is underway into sexual comments he allegedly made in class on Wednesday.

At least one Untalan Middle School parent filed a formal complaint with the Guam Police Department today alleging that 8th grade teacher Timothy McDow made inappropriate comments and gestures to his child and others. Ken Cruz says several other parents have said they were going to file complaints as well. He says, "I feel that the remarks made toward my son and another student were uncalled for, very unprofessional especially coming from a teacher that age to say such remarks to students and it may be a sexual harassment case at this time but that can escalate to a sexual assault in the future and that's my concern."

Meanwhile, Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Bretania Underwood could only say that an investigation is underway.
