PXC Live 4 - blow by blow
PXC chalked up another successful show with PXC Live 4 shown live on MCV Channel 2 for free. 5 fights took place with the 1st fight of the night going in favor of Eric Garrido as he defeated T.J. Francisco. Francisco went to work on Garrido early in the fight but couldn't hold on to his position and lost control. Garrido pounded his way to a 1st round win by referee stoppage.
Jose Saralu beat Aaron Magbuhat in the 2nd fight of the night, which was scheduled as a kickboxing bout. Magbuhat landed some good shots but couldn't withstand Saralu's punishing leg kicks. Saralu dropped Magbuhat through out the fight and earned the win by referee stoppage in the 2nd round improving his record to 2-0.
Luke iakopo fell victim to Tyron Saralu's punching power in a 186-pound match up. Iakopo looked good backing Saralu up against the cage with kicks to the body but looked frustrated when Saralu fired back with a couple of heavy shots. Saralu rocked Iakopo and worked his bread and butter stand up from there picking up his 2nd MMA win by referee stoppage.
Josh Alvarez bounced back from his debut loss in the last Preba Hao event with a win over Mike King. Alvarez with stood King's barrage of punches and countered with decent striking of his own, to score points. After 2 rounds of standup fighting mike king was unable to continue proving once again that if you don't have cardio you won't be able to be compete at you fullest potential.
In the main event Giovanni Sablan and Eben Kanishiro put on a great show in the 155-pound division. Kanishiro came out unloading as Giovanni looked to counter with some bombs of his own. Both fighters locked up and did a little bit of dirty boxing with neither fighter wanting to really take the fight to the ground. Kanishiro tied Giovanni up with the muay thai clinch and cut him with a couple of knees. Sablan showed why he is one of the toughest fighters from around the Marianas, taking Kanishiro into the 2nd round. Eben worked the cut and managed to get Giovanni to the ground midway through the round and land enough unanswered shots to force the referee stoppage.
