"Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith"
by Jamil Justice
May 21, 2005

The general consensus with George Lucas's last two episodes of Star Wars was that they were overall, regardless of the visuals, could have been a little bit better. Issues like acting, choice of actors and the emersion of an almost 100% digitally animated landscape, left some moviegoers - fans included - scratching their heads.

Oh but worry no more, "Episode Three: Revenge of the Sith" is the I'm sorry card fans and movie goers alike have been promised, signed with two words - FULL CIRCLE! If you haven't seen either, one or two, three is the one two watch giving cues to everything that happens in those other three films most know some trivia about like, Who is Luke Skywalker's father? Answer: Darth Vader.

Yes this one explains how that little cute pod racing kid from episode one turns into that deep baritoned dark helmet himself, Darth Vader and how he was lured to the dark side of the force to begin with. Or, What's so tough about that tiny green guy with the pointy ears? who seams unable to give one complete sentence. Well in episode three you'll see that the power is not always in the size, especially during the Yoda vs. Sith Lord Sidious (aka The Emperor from later films) is nothing less than a new wave of little Yoda's for Halloween this year.

Visually Revenge of the Sith takes visual effects to a new extreme. I've never seen a more complete merging of live action and computer generated character animations ever. The action sequences throughout the film really shined with clean transitions between the computer animated versions of the actors and the actual actors themselves, was remarkably accurate. A real visual benchmark and a first with this level of believability.

Regardless your where this type movie usually ends up on your "to do list". This a classic summer must see with all misconceptions aside is a truly entertaining adventure. A Easy 4 out of 5.
