"Last Holiday"

The movie Last Holiday is one of those movies that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. The movie stars Queen Latifah, who plays the lead role of Georgia Byrd, a shy New Orleans department store sales clerk.

Georgia is one of those people who never gets noticed, because quite frankly, she's too busy working to make ends meet. And like any woman, Georgia has dreams of finding true love, traveling to exotic countries and meeting the celebrity chefs who inspire her to cook great meals. Believing her dreams to be unreachable, instead of living them out, she features her wants and desires in a makeshift scrapbook, she's entitles book of possibilities.

But as luck would have it, or in the case of last holiday, as bad luck would have it, Georgia learns she only has three weeks to live, which she quickly decides, she's going to live life large.
Determined to live life to the fullest, Georgia up and quits her job, tells her jerk of a boss where to go, cashes in her savings bonds and catches the next plane to Europe. Why? Because the Grand Hotel Pupp nestled in a fairy tale village in the Czech Republic is where Georgia always dreamed of meeting one of the celebrity chef's featured in her book of possibilities.

Once there, she spares no expense as she sets off each and every precious day left in her life doing things she's never done and spoiling herself from head to toe. Last Holiday is a heartwarming comedy that will have you searching your soul as to whether or not you're living life to the fullest.

This is truly one of Latifah's finest roles.
