"Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire"
by Sonya Artero

The magical fun and excitement continues in Harry Potter and "The Goblet of Fire", which is based on the fourth novel in the seven-part series of Harry Potter's training as a wizard. This marvelously directed movie begins with the exciting announcement that Hogwarts Castle will begin sharing its home with two rival schools in order to accommodate the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

The entire film focuses on this highly competitive Tournament where the other prestigious wizard schools, like the Beaux-Batons Academy with its graceful girls and the Durmstrang Institute of athletic boys gear-up to win the title. To get the tournament going, the enchanted Goblet spits out the names of the champion for each of the three schools.

Suddenly, Harry Potter's name flies out raising the number to a total of four competitors. It also raises suspicion and concern among Harry's best friends and his professors, given the fact the competition's age limit is 17, when Harry is merely 14.

Nonetheless, the Goblet rules, and the dangerous competition must go on with Harry included! And because Harry and his friends have moved into their teenage years, this episode takes on a darker aura making it one of the most entertaining movies of the year.

Also appealing is the fact that now that Harry and his friends are older, they begin to have crushes on the opposite sex, and as young love would have it, they learn that relationships take work.

You will absolutely love the special effects and the story-telling is top-notch as usual. I highly recommend this movie as it is exactly what Harry Potter fans are looking for. With its well executed action scenes that include the usual creepy spiders, flying dragons and the darkest creatures you can possibly imagine, it's a definite must-see for all ages.
