KUAM News and Mama Sita's are searching for Guam's king or queen of local home cooking! Every Wednesday beginning March 26th, KUAM will feature two local amateur chefs that prepare their own recipe using a designated Mama Sita's product. KUAM will follow these chefs in their homes to document the dish preparation. Each week, participants will bring their prepared dish to the KUAM Studios where they will be judged by a panel of judges ranging from culinary experts to local dignitaries live on KUAM News Extra. Weekly winners will win a special prize plus advance to the Mama Sita's Kitchen Cookoff Final Showdown.
Following the 13 week weekly competition, all weekly winners will face off in Final Showdown in June (location and date to be determined). At this showdown all weekly winners will have to prepare 3 dishes using designated Mama Sita's products. Entries will be judged by a special panel of judges to determine the Mama Sita's Kitchen Cookoff Champion. The Grand Prize Champion will win a round trip for two to Manila!
Additionally, a People's Choice winner will be selected by patrons of the promotion who are given the opportunity to sample the dishes.
Winners will win a special prize package and have their recipes featured on kuam.com and participating Mama Sita's retail outlets.
