Marissa Borja joined the KUAM News Team in March of 2003. 

Born in Washington, D.C., Marissa's familial ties are to the island and despite living a majority of her childhood on the mainland...she spent her formative years on Guam attending Bishop Baumgartner Middle School and Academy of Our Lady of Guam High School. 

She graduated from Boston University's College of Communication earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. Marissa's journalistic work experience includes internships with K-57, Guam Business Magazine and Boston Neighborhood Network News. Prior to KUAM, she briefly worked as a print journalist and photographer for the Marianas Variety. 

Marissa has a passion for the arts. She is a fan of foreign and independent films and loves to dance. When she isn't working...she enjoys spending time with her family, her church community, and her husband.
