John J. Davis was raised on Guam and graduated from George Washington High School in 1998. A scholar/athlete, he maintained a 3.7 GPA while starring as an all-island standout for the Geckos in volleyball and track & field. He has been a member of the Guam National Men's Volleyball team for several years, and competed in the 1997 Mini-South Pacific Games and winning his hometown a gold medal in the 2006 Micronesian Games in Saipan.
John attended the University of Guam and studied Mass Media. After beginning his mass media career in radio as a disc jockey and production assistant at Hit Radio 100, John began his career in professional news media at Guam's ABC affiliate as a sports reporter and news anchor. After noticing his talent and potential, John was tapped by KUAM News in December 2006, and true to his character, got immediately busy covering various aspects of island healthcare, utilities and the environment. In 2008, John was selected along with the rest of the KUAM News team as a winner of the Edward R. Murrow award for KUAM's "Survivor: In Their Own Words" documentary.
John is proud to be a valuable member of Guam's #1 news team.
