KUAM Sports Director Brant McCreadie's slide into electronic journalism was probably more a result of his shoulder than his dream. Brant, who hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, chose to be a Milwaukee Brewer baseball player rather then a University of Hawaii Rainbow, probably because rainbows were the last thing he knew how to throw.

His arm and 90 mph fastball was good enough to get him into the pros, where he spent five years with the Milwaukee Brewers and California Angels before a career-ending injury to his shoulder. As a result, he concentrated on journalism and landed a job on Guam with Guam Cable TV in 1996, where he was the sports director and weekday anchor. He joined KUAM in January of 1998, and was named sports director one year later. You can watch Brant on news8 primetime you also might recognize him as number 8 for the Miller Bears - the quarterback who catapulted his receivers into the top three slots after the regular season, throwing over 1,200 yards and 18 TDs in 8 games. While Brant refuses to take his work home, he does enjoy attending sports events and watching national sports on TV.
