A fallen soldier who lost his life in the Middle East while serving his country was recognized this morning. The University of Guam presented a resolution today to the family of the late Major Henry Ofeciar renaming the ROTC scholarship program in his name.

Ofeciar was the first graduate of the UOG ROTC program who was commissioned to fall in the line of duty. UOG President Robert Underwood said, "We're honored and we think it's very important that we take the time out and pay tribute to him. He received his BA here in Business Management in 1992. I'm proud to say he's also a JFK graduate as I was. So there's a lot of affinity I think that this university has for Henry."
