It appears lawmakers are having some disputes when it comes to which bill they will push through to the entire body that seeks to improve the mass transit system on the island. While a roundtable discussion is scheduled for next week Tuesday, apparently Senators Frank Ishizaki, Rory Respicio, and Tina Rose Muna Barnes attempted to meet this morning to discuss matters related to their respective bills.

Bills 203 and 203 were both introduced to revamp the public transit system on the island. According to Senator Ishizaki's office, the Committee on General Governmental Operations and Reorganization determined it did not want to report out Bill 304 but instead merge the provisions with Bill 203 that proposes a Transit Authority Board. With no agreement between the senators, Ishizaki maintains Bill 203 with its amendments and provisions from Bill 304 will be moved forward.
