Public Health sponsors poster contest
In an effort to promote food safety, the Department of Public Health's Division of Environmental Health is sponsoring a poster contest for the island's elementary school children. This year's poster contest theme is "Foodborne Pathogens: Your Family's Health is in Your Hands". Officials are hoping the contest will emphasize the importance of cleanliness in preparing food safely at home to prevent foodborne illnesses.
The winning poster will be showcased next month which will be celebrated as the "3rd Annual Guam Food Safety Education Month 2008".
