Efforts are underway at the Guam Public School System to ensure better accountability. Chief Auditor Lester Kuykendall presented to the Guam Education Policy Board the new manager's internal control program, which will streamline and measure steps that the administration is taking to ensure there's accountability.

As KUAM reported, Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Bretania-Shafer talked about her plans to conduct an internal audit of GPSS. The board is expected to discuss the internal control program during a work session scheduled for next week. In the meantime, GPSS is still waiting for the management audit contract to be signed by the AG and the Governor.
