John F. Kennedy High School is hoping to have the Ramsey Football field re-inspected by the Education Suruhanu and regulatory agencies. JFK Athletic Director Robert Vasquez says for the last few weeks, it's been difficult for football players to practice without their own field.

For now they've had to resort to using Eagle Field, which is left in the dark at night. Vasquez says their biggest challenge is ensuring they have proper facilities to conduct practices and games. "Without proper facilities to train on, you're not going to get the optimal out of the athletes-so you need the facilities," said Vasquez.

The field was shut down by the Attorney General and the GPSS health and safety task force because the electrical room adjacent to the field had standing water. Vasquez says all that has been fixed, it's just a matter of scheduling a re-inspection.
