There's still no official reason why Jess Torres turned in his resignation as the head of the Guam International Airport Authority. His resignation is effective on or before the end of this fiscal year or September 30. However Torres will remain on leave status until then receiving medical treatment in the Philippines. The airport gave no indications as to the reasons behind the resignation only thanking the executive manager for his assistance with numerous projects and obtaining millions in federal funds. Torres could not be reached for comment on the reasons for his resignation. The board meanwhile meets this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
