Guam Election Commission Legal Counsel Cesar Cabot has completed his legal research on a recent law that would mandate the Republican senatorial candidates participate in the upcoming primary election.
As we reported a rider was attached in the recently signed Bill 279 mandating that although one party may not have a full slate of 15 candidates both parties would still have to participate in a primary election.

The Republicans only have 10 candidates running. Attorney Cabot will be issuing his opinion when the board meets Thursday.
