Conservation officers make several arrests in relation to illegal fishing activities

Numerous individuals have been cited on charges in relation to illegal fishing activities this month.

According to a Department of Agriculture Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (DAWR) press release, on July 4 seven individuals arrested for the impaling or puncturing of spiny lobsters and crabs along with the taking of spiny lobster eggs.
Those individuals include Bruno Umumo Mario, Johnny Seventino, Hersom Malon, Dickson Tullmar, Linus Joanes Choffat, Charles Mario and Joseph Choffatt.

Another case noted by Conservation Officershappened on July 10. Dannis Ternisio was arrested for allegedly spearfishing in Tumon Bay. That same day, Vincent Paul Ignacio and Joel Justin Mafnas Salas were also both arrested for allegedly spearfishing in Tumon Bay.

The Department of Agriculture is asking for the public's help in reporting any illegal fishing or hunting activities to Conservation Officers at 735-3989/91.
