With less than three weeks away until the new school year, school communities like CL Taitano Elementary in Sinajana are working against the clock. Assistant Principal Gloria Barretto said contractors have been on site to repair leaky roofs, install emergency lights, and ensure the citations are addressed in all 9 temporary classrooms before school opens on August 12.

Barretto said, "I'd probably say we're at 80% now as of today done with a lot of the things we needed to get done in order to get the school ready for opening." The principal added that one of the biggest challenges is a shortage of supplies from vendors.
