Lawmakers took a break for the 4th of July holiday, but before doing so, late Thursday they passed several bills that will be forwarded to the Governor for his final approval. The measures include a bill regulating tint on vehicles, legislation allowing for the practice of telemedicine on Guam, Bill 172 which extends the real property tax moratorium for original landowners until they have proper access to their land. Bill 209 also met legislative muster, the measure would broaden the scope of Guam's underground utility damage protection law to include protection of all underground utilities including all telecommunications, internet and or any cable lines. Also passed were bills dealing with funding to continue Mental Health's Project I Famagounta and Bill 258 which allows the Guam Public School System to transfer funds between appropriations for the current fiscal year.
