Some predictions that a gallon of regular Unleaded will cost $5.00 before the end of the summer are likely to become reality. Once again there's more pain at the pump for island residents as Mobil Oil Guam has raised its gas prices by 18 cents a gallon. While a gallon of regular Unleaded gas costs $4.49, it will now cost you $4.67 for that same gallon of regular Unleaded. The price of Super-Unleaded has increased to $4.80 with a gallon of Diesel now priced at $5.42.

It's a growing trend across the U.S. Mainland as gas prices there have risen more than 10%. According to AAA figures fuel used to cost $3.67 a month ago in most states and is now 29% higher than the $3.10 average a year ago.
