The Legislative Committee on Finance & Taxation continued budget hearings this afternoon, beginning with the Chamorro Land Trust Commission. CLTC director Joe Borja says they need more money for their 2009 budget than was requested for by the Camacho Administration, explaining, "Last year we released revenues of approximately a little bit over $600,000; we were budgeted for last year's operation at $497,000."

Because the agency brought in more money than they were allowed to spend, Borja requested that the agency be allowed to use whatever was left over from last year's revenues generated by the use of their properties to this year's budget.
