The Oceanview Middle School Parent Teacher Organization wants to know what's really going on with the status of the school. The PTO is scheduled to host a meeting to address concerns raised by not only by the Guam Public School System's Health and Safety Task Force, but stakeholders as well. PTO president and former Guam Education Policy Board member Johnny Rivera wants to know why the school was shut down two weeks prior to the end of the school year.He told KUAM News, "I think the biggest thing that most parents want to know is that we want our kids back in school and we want to find out what's the holdup. There may be a few suggestions here and there, but in the most part if most things have been addressed in terms of health and safety, then those things with the classroom situation. If it's deemed safe enough by the safety officer, then I would be the first to urge that the school be open tomorrow."Meanwhile, the school had yet to be re-inspected today by the Task Force, which means students will not have classes on Thursday.
