The University of Guam's tenth president was officially welcomed today during an investiture ceremony. Dr. Robert Underwood began his three-year contract with the university on Monday. Today Supreme Court Associate Justice F. Philip Carbullido delivered the oath of office as Underwood swore to uphold the duties and responsibilities as the university's new president in front of island dignitaries and UOG staff and faculty.

Underwood talked about his commitment to get more resources for university staff and students. The new president also said he looks forward to this new challenge and strives to make UOG the education facility of the region.
