As the death toll in China continues to climb, with daily recovery efforts from the earthquake-ravaged country, the Guam Chinese Contractor's Association has banned together to collect donations for relief assistance. Association treasurer Paul Yu says the local Chinese community is in shock from the tragic event. The money collected will eventually be given to the Chinese Red Cross. Said Yu, "We're asking all mothers, fathers, Guam residents and friends, please help those Chinese women and kids. They still have thousands and thousands of people under the crushed building and debris and we really need all the Guam people, friends, please help."To make a donation you can contact the Guam Chinese Contractor's Association at 888-3358 or 888-5775. Donations will be accepted until May 24.
