Representatives from Continental Micronesia discussed the possibility of future non-stop flights between Guam and the United States mainland when the military buildup begins in the territory. Officials from the airline say based on the demand when U.S. Marines and their families arrive on Guam, the company will determine if they will begin offering the non-stop flights.

Currently flights to the mainland typically stopover in Japan or Hawaii first.
