From rappelling down buildings to showcasing the skills of the K-9 Unit, J.Q. San Miguel Elementary School students got an inside peek at what officers of the Guam Police Department do this morning. The demonstrations and displays are part of Police Week.

Commander for the Hagatna Precinct Lieutenant Sonny Castro said, "With this they aspire to be officers. We want to get them while they're young, so they know that police officers are good people and they do help people." More events in celebration of Police Week are on tap ove the next few days, including sports activities, a banquet and an awards ceremony to be held at the Tiyan headquarters on Wednesday.
