Village meetings hosted by the Joint Guam Program Office to gather input from the public on the buildup of forces locally continue this evening. Last night several island residents showed up armed with questions and concerns, with JGPO's David Bice answering, among many topics, questions about the possibility of the placement of a missile defense system in Barrigada. "The Ballistic Missile Defense Category defends the homeland just as much as it defends the people of Guam," the retired Marine Corps general explained to those in attendance. "In fact, it's tied in our defense system around the world, so Guam by our military presence is well protected."Another village meeting will be held this evening at the Yigo Gym beginning at 6pm.
