GWA's Benavente: wastewater systems need work

In the first of several outreach sessions scheduled throughout the month, Guam Waterworks Authority general manager John Benavente addressed the Rotary Club of Northern Guam earlier today. He went over several issues including how the utility agency is planning for the military buildup.

"Part of our major problem that we need to start highlighting," Benavente announced, "Is the certain areas on the island that have issues in terms of wastewater. Unless we start to upgrade those facilities, we're not going to be able to have developers tie into the system."
