High definition television (HDTV) will soon be available to the Guam market. Today during GTA TeleGuam's opening of it's new store next to Pay-Less Supermarkets in the Micronesian Mall in Dededo the telecommunications company displayed its ability to bring in HDTV signals over its network. The company is planning on offering more integrated services by packaging telephone, mobile phone, Internet access, and HDTV.

Roland Rranquez, GTA's vice-president of customer service and retail sales, told KUAM News, "The biggest announcement today is that GTA is the first to bring high definition TV to Guam. This is a first for Guam and we're able to prove that we can to bring in a live feed."

GTA's HDTV service won't be officially launched until sometime this summer.
