Senator-elect Benjamin J. Cruz will be sworn-in as Guam's newest senator on Thursday, after the Guam Election Commission certifies the results of last Saturday's special election tomorrow. Acting speaker Eddie Baza Calvo (R) announced that session will in fact be held for the sole purpose of swearing-in Cruz.

As far as the Democrats' request of the Republicans to relinquish leadership, Calvo says he wants to move forward and keep the continuity of the Legislature's leadership in order to remain productive.
